The movie Bottle Shock for the most part is about how Chateau Montelena helped put Napa on the map by being one of the winners of an international wine competition in 1976. Although the majority of the movie was actually filmed in Sonoma County (a lot of it at Kunde Estate Winery) you will definitley recognize the building from the movie and the Chateau Montelena wine labels. This winery has a wonderful private lake with an oriental themed tea garden setting complete with a beautiful white swan. Stop in for a taste of their award winning Chardonnay.
